Rampage debuted under ownership of Fred Shafer in 1995. The truck mainly competed in the PENDA points series for a few years. In 1997, Rampage was sold to Richard and Shirley Patterson, and Paul Shafer bought the second Rampage later that same year. In 2002, Paul Shafer would own all rights to Rampage and name ran under Paul Shafer Motorsports until 2006.
Under new ownership of Triple B Motorsports in 2022, there were no plans to bring this name back to light. In 2023, an opportunity to run trucks at the 4-Wheel Jamboree series gave the team the idea to bring back Rampage. With more monster truck names owned than the trucks themselves, another name would have to be shelved to make this happen. It was decided to shelve Lone Wolf and use its chassis to debut the new Rampage.
Tommy Varilone would get to debut the new Rampage dodge body and design during intros at the 4-Wheel Jamboree event in Bloomsburg, PA. This truck will remain Rampage for the remainder of 2023.
