2023

HISTORY

The original Monster Patrol, owned by Paul Shafer, debuted back in 1993. The concept for the truck came from Paul’s mud truck, Mud Patrol. The body debuted as a chevy, but became a Dodge to go with Paul’s purchase of Bearfoot. The name competed in the PENDA series with Tom Meents driving. Because of its popularity, other owners would run the name on their trucks, similar to Bearfoot. The schemes for the name would range from black/green to purple/orange to flames and a checkered styled paint job.

Monster Patrol is the only truck with the highest amount of different drivers. Monster Patrol has had 93 different drivers represent the iconic name, names including Dave Harkey, Richard Patterson, Rodney Tweedy, Brian Welch, Guy Wood, Rod Schmidt, Doug Charles and many more. Paul’s Monster Patrol made its last appearance in 2012.

In summer of 2022, Kasey Kromschroeder would debut the new pink and black Monster Patrol, after James purchased the name in January. Kasey’s Monster Patrol truck is a former Jailbird chassis, originally owned by Darren Migues.

In April of 2023, for the 30th Anniversary of the Monster Patrol name, Austin Tweedy would debut a new green/gold scheme. Austin would represent the 30th Anniversary Monster Patrol body permanently starting in July for the 4-Wheel Jamboree series and the remainder of 2023.

In 2024 MONSTER PATROL MADE A SLIGHT CHANGE TO ITS DESIGN BY TAKING AWAY THE GOLD AND KEEPING THE GREEN ACCENTS ONLY. MONSTER PATROL FOR THE REMAINDER OF 2024 WILL BE ON A DIFFERENT CHASSIS AND WILL BE SPORTING A DIFFERENT BODY STARTING MARCH 2024.
